Q: How do I set up the Localmint app?

A: When prompted with the question “Localmint Would Like to Use Your Current Location”, select “OK”. If you do not select “OK” the functionality of the app will be severely impacted, as Localmint provides a location based service. However, you will still be able to search from specified locations in the Search Screen if you choose not to allow access to your current location.

Select your country by tapping the white bar and selecting Ireland, United Kingdom or Australia from the drop down menu.

Tap the “Start” button. You are now ready to start using the Localmint app.


Q: I hit the “Don’t Allow” option by mistake, how do I turn my location setting on?

A: Select your phone’s Settings icon and then navigate to > Privacy > Location Services. Once you toggle on the phone’s Location Services (if not already on) you will see a list of apps. Scroll down until you see Localmint and move the toggle beside Localmint to the right.


Q: How do I search for a store using the Home Screen?

A: Search by category from your current location on the home screen. Simply select the category of store you are looking for (e.g. Supermarkets) and a list of nearby stores will appear on the next screen. If you do not get any results be sure to check you have selected the appropriate country in the settings page.


Q: How do I search for a store using the Search screen?

A: Tap the “Search” tab in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen and then tap the white box at the top of the screen to access the Search screen. Enter the store name or category in the top white box:

  • tap “Search” on the key pad to search from your current location.
  • tap the box with “Current Location” in it and then tap the X to clear the box contents. Input the location from which you want to search if you do not wish to search from your current location.


Q: How do I search for a store using the map function?

A: Tap the “Search” tab in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen and then tap the “Map” button at the top right of the screen. Then follow the same search instructions as outlined in the previous question and tap a red pin to see store details.


Q: How do I favourite a store?

A: When you are in the store details page simply hit the “Favourite” button. Once selected it will change colour and will read “Favourited”. The selected store will now be listed under the “Favourites” tab in the navigation bar.


Q: How do I delete a store from my Favourites?

A: There are two options to delete a store:

  • Place your finger on the store in the “Favourites” page and swipe to the left. Select the delete button that is revealed.
  • In the details page for the selected store tap the button marked “Favourited” and it will revert to “Favourites” and change colour.


Q: How do I upload a store/stores?

A: You can upload stores using the following link http://www.localmint.com/home/addbusiness. Alternatively you can contact us at info@localmint.com or use the contact us link in the settings page of the app.


Q: How do I update store details?

A: You can report an error with the information on a particular store using the following link http://www.localmint.com/home/reportproblem . Alternatively you can contact us at info@localmint.com or use the Contact Us link in the Settings page of the app.


Q: How do I report a bug or problem with the app?

A: Please report any app issues or malfunctions to info@localmint.com or use the "Contact Us" link in the Settings page of the app.
